DigiEmpower Digital Workforce Training
DigiEmpower Digital Workforce Training
The demand for a digitally skilled workforce will continue to grow as jobs increasingly require digital skills. Women and youth remain underrepresented in digital professions in the country. Equipping youth and women with world-class digital and cybersecurity skills is vital to drive innovation, bolster resilience against cyber threats, and promote inclusive growth.
To address the unmet demand for digital skills, U.S. tech companies Cybastion and Cisco launched DigiEmpower, an ambitious initiative to train hundreds of thousands of young people and women across Africa by 2030.
Program Objectives
Anchored by the state-of-the-art Cybastion Tech Academy in Abidjan, this initiative will leverage a network of ICT academies across the country to train young people and women in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and digital transformation.
In partnership with Cisco’s Networking Academy (NetAcad), students have the option of taking free online and in-person digital courses to prepare them for jobs in government and the private sector.
